Introduction
I am a survivor advocate, public speaker and community leader with a longstanding commitment to improving outcomes for people affected by childhood sexual abuse.
Drawing on lived experience and lived expertise, I work across advocacy, education, policy and reform initiatives to promote greater understanding of trauma, improve access to justice and support more informed responses from our institutions and communities.
My work spans community advocacy, advisory roles, public speaking and collaboration with government, legal and not-for-profit organisations, with a particular focus on systemic change and survivor-informed practice.
Advocacy
Since 2012, I have undertaken independent survivor advocacy, working to raise awareness of issues affecting survivors of childhood sexual abuse and to ensure survivor voices are represented in public conversations, media discussions and decision-making forums.
My advocacy is grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs when lived experience and lived expertise are genuinely valued. Through community engagement, public speaking and collaboration with stakeholders across multiple sectors, I seek to promote understanding, reduce stigma and improve outcomes for survivors.
Reform and Change
My advocacy extends beyond awareness and education to law reform, public policy and systemic change.
I have contributed to discussions and initiatives relating to victims of crime, sexual violence, coercive control, access to justice and survivor-informed practice. Through advisory and leadership roles, I provide lived expertise to support policy development, strategic planning and organisational improvement.
A significant focus of my work has been improving access to justice for survivors of childhood sexual abuse and supporting reforms that strengthen accountability and create fairer outcomes for those affected.
Recognition
My contribution to advocacy and community leadership has been recognised through a range of advisory, governance and public engagement roles.
I currently serve as Co-Chair of the Western Australian Department of Justice Victims of Crime Reference Group and as a member of the Knowmore Legal Service Lived Expertise Advisory Panel. I have also served as a Board Director of Complex Trauma WA and as Chair of the John Butler Primary College Board.
In 2023, I was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to the community in advocacy roles.

I remain committed to contributing to a future where survivors are heard, respected and included in conversations that affect their lives.
Through advocacy, education, speaking and reform initiatives, I will continue working towards systems and communities that respond more effectively, compassionately and fairly to the impacts of childhood sexual abuse.
