Kirsty Pratt OAM
Advocate for reform and improved outcomes for survivors of childhood sexual abuse
Order of Australia Medal recipient, survivor advocate and speaker.
Drawing on lived experience and lived expertise, I work to increase understanding of the lifelong impacts of childhood sexual abuse and contribute to more informed, compassionate and effective responses across our communities and institutions.

Advocacy
As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I bring lived experience and lived expertise to conversations about trauma, recovery, advocacy and systemic change.
Through advocacy, education and public engagement, I work to increase understanding of the long-term impacts of childhood sexual abuse and to encourage more informed, compassionate and effective responses from individuals, organisations and institutions.
My advocacy has also focused on law and policy reform, including campaigns to improve access to justice and strengthen outcomes for survivors in Western Australia.
Reform and Change
My advocacy extends beyond awareness and education to law reform, public policy and systemic change. Drawing on lived experience and lived expertise, I work to encourage reforms that improve access to justice, strengthen accountability and deliver better outcomes for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
I believe meaningful change occurs when survivor voices help shape the decisions, systems and institutions that affect their lives.
Speaking
I speak to organisations, community groups, professionals and decision-makers about the long-term impacts of childhood sexual abuse, the importance of listening to survivors, and opportunities for meaningful change.
My presentations draw on lived experience and lived expertise to encourage greater understanding, challenge assumptions, and support more effective policy, practice and community responses.
